I am Parker, the founder of MIYA Singapore. My journey into entrepreneurship is a testament to resilience, adaptation, and the pursuit of a better life for my family and community.

For nearly a decade, I dedicated myself to the Limousine Transportation industry, a career that I cherished. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit Singapore, the landscape changed drastically. Flights were grounded, work-from-home mandates were announced, and my limousine business faced an uncertain future. Struggling with the impending loss of my livelihood, I found myself at a crossroads.

With a growing family and the need to provide for them, especially with my wife expecting with our first baby, I made the tough decision to pivot. I plunged into the food delivery sector, working tirelessly day and night to secure a minimum income for my family. This period of hardship lasted almost a year.

One day, a turning point came when a cousin saw my struggles and offered me an opportunity to work as a technician, installing water dispensers. This chance transformed my life for the better. As the years passed and the COVID situation improved, I returned to the limousine transportation industry. However, my newfound passion for water works remained strong.

Motivated by a desire to make affordable, quality water products accessible to my community, I founded MIYA Singapore. In the market, such products often come with a hefty price tag, and despite Singapore's drinkable tap water, concerns about water quality persist, as we know the water process to our household is not that clean. I vividly recall my parents wrapping a white cloth around our tap faucet when I was young, a simple measure to address water impurities turning the white cloth into yellowish within 2-3 months time.

Becoming a parent myself intensified my commitment to providing the best for my daughter. Thus, MIYA Singapore was born. After rigorous testing and numerous product trials, I proudly introduce the MIYA Ultra Filtration System. This product, with its advanced features, would typically cost a substantial amount in the market. However, my mission is to make it affordable without compromising quality.

I am excited to embark on this journey with MIYA Singapore, a homegrown brand that aims to enhance all walks of lives of our community through accessible and reliable water solutions.
